Life is all about balance. Before I had pets, I will admit, my life was not balanced. After adding two crazy dogs to the mix, achieving balance tomorrow was no longer an option. I learned this soon after adding my second dog, Elvis, into the pack. The dogs now needed a level of structure that simply could not be achieved without planning and commitment. I was faced with two options. I could either let the dogs run the house, which entailed such things as eating my sister's UGG boots and opening and consuming my mail almost daily. This behavior is what led me to the idea of balance, and seeking out ways to achieve it. In my following posts, I will give some background on how Cooper and Elvis came to be, and my failures and successes as a single dog parent.
